• A Semiautomatic pistol or revolver with a minimum caliber of 9mm to .45 ACP.
• A secure strong-side belt holster. No shoulder rigs, cross draw, small of the back or fanny packs.
• A magazine belt pouch or speed loader pouches. The maximum number of magazines on a person is 3 (1 in the gun and 2 on the belt) and speed loaders are 4 (1 in the gun and 3 on the belt).
• Some sort of concealment garment such as a vest, coat, shirt or even a T-shirt, just as long it covers your gear.
• About 100 rounds of ammunition. The normal match is usually no more than 50, but you want to have extra in case of a re-shoot.
• Eye and ear protection.
