Tickets for the raffle are $5 each or 3 for $10. A hotdog lunch will be available for $5.00, or you may bring your own. Our normal "Training Day" events will be abbreviated with only one NRA First steps Pistol class and our usual Defensive Handgun Clinic being offered. Come join us with our veterans for a fun day on the range shooting some fun games and matches. Vintage military firearms will be on display. The Flag raising will be at 9am."
"We will hold our hugely popular "Women's Test Drive" event on Saturday Dec 13th from 1-4 pm. This will be a free event. We hold these test drives to allow women the opportunity to come out and try different handguns and calibers, make an evaluation and comparison and have time for the other half to get it in time for Christmas. This is not a free fire range session, we expect serious evaluation for this free event. Certified Instructors knowledgeable about each firearm and caliber will be on hand to help you with unfamiliar handguns or to answer questions. Less than Lethal weapons and demonstrations will also be performed."
MidValley Defensive Shooters November Match
Match note from Mark Edwards: Winton's November 15th match is going to be a FUN Multi Gun CQB (Close Quarter Battle) Match (if you don't have 3 guns don't worry, there's always someone willing to share so bring ammo. For those who have an extra rifle or shotgun, or if you are willing to share, can you let me know so I can squad people accordingly ).
We are using this match as a fund raiser for your future enjoyment. All the proceeds will be going towards buying steel, props etc (2015 is going to be a fun year at Winton, stay tuned for more news on what we have in store). Stages, round count etc are still being worked on, but the stage ideas we have so far, have me excited, Allen Lowe has offered to do a stage, so you know that one will be challenging, probably have you cursing him and yet you will be smiling when you have done it. There are stages that have a few twists and turns to make you think. We are going to keep it easy, so divisions will be iron sights or optics. Scoring will be time +. So that's one in the down zero or 2 on paper, steel to fall, a miss is +5 seconds. Stage count, round count and cost will be updated soon.

Safety First Shooting Association is a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation which operates the River Oaks Range on private property. The Association was formed to promote Firearms Training and Safety to the Community. To this end we are organized to provide training opportunities and venues to support Firearms classes, public service events, various outreach programs to the general public, and educational opportunities related to the shooting sports. While we do operate a shooting range, our purpose is to provide education and training. Membership is not required to participate in the education and training opportunities presented by this Association. As an Association, Members are encouraged to attend any or all training's they desire or have an interest in. All education and training opportunities take precedence over general range activities. While our intent is to keep class fees to a minimum, some course materials will have a small cost associated, although this may be alleviated by grants and donations to the education aims of the Association.
This Association is dedicated to the promotion of the shooting sports and firearms safety. Our membership provides specific training in the use of firearms and firearms safety, while conducting classes and events in several shooting sport disciplines for the general public and our community.
